Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Finance Supervisor to join our client in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on a direct hire basis. This role will oversee critical financial operations within a legal environment, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance, while serving as a backup for payroll processing. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in law firm financial structures and advanced accounting skills to help drive accuracy, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
Compensation:
$80,000 – $95,000/year + bonus
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Finance Supervisor:
- Manage core accounting functions such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, trust accounting, and month-end close.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to support leadership decisions.
- Collaborate with attorneys and practice leaders on billing, collections, and profitability metrics.
- Act as payroll backup, ensuring compliance and accuracy in processing, reconciliations, and audits.
- Identify process improvements and maintain strong internal controls across financial operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the legal industry with a strong background in accounting and finance.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience supporting payroll operations and system implementations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and law firm accounting practices.
