Job Title: Patient Referral Verification Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Patient Referral Verification Specialist to join our client’s team and ensure accurate and timely processing of patient referrals. This role serves as a critical link between referral sources, patients, and healthcare agencies, helping to maintain compliance and deliver exceptional service. This is a remote opportunity with options for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct hire employment.
Compensation:
$22.00/hour
Work Schedule:
Open 7 days a week; shifts available between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST / 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST / 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM MST
Key Responsibilities of the Patient Referral Verification Specialist:

• Accurately enter patient referral details into the management system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Verify insurance eligibility and process prior authorizations, escalating cases for clinical review when necessary.
• Communicate referral outcomes to patients and referral sources, providing clear and empathetic updates.
• Coordinate with home health agencies to ensure timely and appropriate patient care services.

Qualifications and Skills for the Patient Referral Verification Specialist:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant or CNA certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical setting or 5 years equivalent experience; home health background is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating multiple computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
