Compensation:
$22.00/hour
Work Schedule:
7 days/week between 8AM–6PM EST / 7AM–5PM CST / 6AM–4PM MST

Key Responsibilities of the Patient Referral Verification Specialist:
- Support the full referral intake process by reviewing submitted home health requests and gathering required details for processing.
- Contact home health agencies to confirm services, verify care details, and obtain information such as prior authorizations or service eligibility.
- Determine the appropriate decision-maker for each referral—physicians, insurers, patients, or agencies—and ensure accurate routing.
- Identify referrals that fall outside processing guidelines and communicate them to the correct internal or external stakeholders.
- Maintain a high output of completed referral verifications while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills for the Patient Referral Verification Specialist:
- Experience in healthcare coordination, referrals, or a similar administrative support function.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to gather information by phone from multiple parties.
- Proven ability to manage high volume workloads while staying organized and detail oriented.
- Comfort navigating ambiguities and determining proper next steps for each referral.
- Tech savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly and follow structured workflows.
