Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Insurance)
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Administrative Assistant (Insurance) to join our client to support daily underwriting operations and help ensure a smooth, customer-focused workflow. In this role, you will partner closely with underwriting and marketing teams to keep processes moving, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to strong client relationships. This position is ideal for an early-career professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing administrative tasks with meaningful service support. This hybrid opportunity offers hands-on experience within the insurance industry while contributing to key business objectives.
Compensation:
$20.00/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday; training schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. After training, daily hours are assigned by the manager and may include one late shift until 7:00 PM.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote (Fridays never required onsite).

Key Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant (Insurance):

  • Support underwriters by preparing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and helping streamline daily workflow processes.
  • Contribute to underwriting, marketing, retention, and service initiatives by ensuring timely and organized follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Deliver responsive, client-focused assistance through phone and email communication with external partners and customers.
  • Uphold quality and performance expectations by aligning work with established guidelines and service standards.
  • Assist in coordinating administrative activities that enable smooth team operations and strong internal communication.

Qualifications and Skills for the Administrative Assistant (Insurance):

  • Previous administrative experience supporting external customers, including confidence handling phone-based communication.
  • Insurance background is helpful but not required; willingness to learn industry processes is essential.
  • A related bachelor’s degree is preferred, though strong relevant experience is equally considered.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
