Job Title: Insurance Defense Paralegal
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Insurance Defense Paralegal to join our client to support a high-volume litigation practice and help drive organized, efficient case progression. In this role, you will partner closely with a team of attorneys to manage discovery, draft key legal documents, and keep cases moving through each phase of the defense process. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex construction-related matters while serving as a primary point of contact for major national clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and brings strong initiative, accuracy, and follow-through to every assignment.
Compensation:
$60,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Insurance Defense Paralegal:

  • Support multiple attorneys by coordinating all stages of litigation, including discovery management, drafting filings, and organizing case documentation.
  • Prepare, revise, and maintain litigation materials such as pleadings, motions, correspondence, and investigative summaries.
  • Serve as a key liaison for assigned clients by handling requests, gathering information, and ensuring accurate, timely communication.
  • Assist with trial-related tasks when needed, including preparation of exhibits, site inspections, and other time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Contribute to overall case organization and workflow efficiency by maintaining schedules, deadlines, and billable time entries.

Qualifications and Skills for the Insurance Defense Paralegal:

  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, ideally within insurance defense; plaintiff or in-house experience considered for candidates open to defense-side work.
  • Education in paralegal studies preferred (associate degree or bachelor’s with paralegal certificate), though comparable experience is valued.
  • Proven ability to manage a sizable caseload with strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
  • Experience tracking billable hours and working in a law firm or litigation-focused environment.
  • Solid technical skills; familiarity with case management software is a plus.
