Job Title: Facilities Ops Manager
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Facilities Ops Manager to join our client to support the daily oversight and long term reliability of multiple regional office locations. In this role, you will guide all building operations and facility services to ensure safe, efficient, and well maintained work environments. The Facilities Ops Manager will play a key part in coordinating maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors while monitoring building systems and responding to emergencies. This position requires strong leadership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage complex operational needs across several sites.
Compensation:
$50 to $55 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, with required on call availability
Site based in Princeton NJ with travel between Philadelphia and New York as needed

Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Ops Manager:

  • Oversee daily facility functions across multiple owned and leased properties, ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, cleanliness, and consistent service delivery.
  • Guide maintenance teams and external partners on repairs, inspections, infrastructure care, vendor coordination, and building improvement activities.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems including automation platforms, emergency power, heating and cooling equipment, fire systems, lighting controls, and related operational technology to ensure uptime and resilience.
  • Manage facilities records, budgets, contracts, space documentation, project files, and operational reporting to support informed decision making and streamline processes.
  • Lead facility teams and contractors with a readiness mindset, providing 24 by 7 oversight of emergencies, weather concerns, business continuity plans, and data center support needs.

Qualifications and Skills for the Facilities Ops Manager:

  • At least five years of experience managing operations for commercial office buildings or property portfolios.
  • Prior supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams, coach contractors, and remain steady during urgent or high pressure situations.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems such as automation platforms, HVAC equipment, emergency generators, UPS and battery systems, fire systems, and basic network infrastructure.
  • Skilled in communication, organization, problem solving, and working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional certifications such as IFMA CFM or similar credentials are preferred but not required.
