Job Title: Cash Application Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Cash Application Analyst to join our client to support accurate and timely processing of incoming payments and financial transactions. This role ensures that all premium and non premium payments are recorded correctly, reconciled daily, and researched promptly to maintain smooth cash flow operations. The analyst will partner closely with internal teams and banking partners to resolve exceptions, meet service standards, and uphold internal controls. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and assist with various projects that enhance department efficiency.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours; onsite at least three days weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) in Philadelphia, PA.

Key Responsibilities of the Cash Application Analyst:

  • Support daily processing and accurate posting of premium and non premium payments while upholding established procedures and control standards.
  • Conduct detailed research using internal systems and bank imaging tools to resolve discrepancies and apply exception transactions.
  • Partner with Accounting, Billing, and Accounts Receivable teams, as well as external bank vendors, to address issues and enhance workflow.
  • Deliver daily reconciliation activities, ensuring all variances are investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Contribute to process improvements, operational assessments, and departmental projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills for the Cash Application Analyst:

  • Experience working within cash applications, accounts receivable, or a similar financial operations environment.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross functional partners and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
  • Ability to manage workload with accuracy, meet daily deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems or payment processing tools is preferred.
