Job Title: Loss Mitigation Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist to join our client to support borrowers through financial hardship by delivering compliant, solution oriented mortgage assistance. This role plays a critical part in reducing delinquency by guiding borrowers through available foreclosure alternatives while protecting investor and regulatory interests. The ideal professional brings strong mortgage servicing knowledge and a steady, empathetic communication style. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity that is fully remote for candidates residing in approved states.
Compensation:
$18 to $23 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, eight hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST
One rotating Saturday per month from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST
Key Responsibilities of the Loss Mitigation Specialist:
Serve as the primary point of contact for delinquent borrowers, guiding them through repayment options and foreclosure alternatives
Evaluate borrower financial documentation to determine eligibility for loss mitigation programs and investor guidelines
Conduct proactive outbound outreach to understand hardship drivers, negotiate payment solutions, and encourage resolution
Ensure all borrower interactions, financial reviews, and decisions are documented accurately within servicing systems
Coordinate foreclosure referrals in alignment with HUD timelines after all appropriate loss mitigation efforts are completed
Qualifications and Skills for the Loss Mitigation Specialist:
Demonstrated experience supporting loss mitigation activities within mortgage servicing environments
Working knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan programs and requirements
Strong understanding of FDCPA, RESPA, CFPB, and applicable state and regulatory standards
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with borrowers while handling sensitive financial situations
Reliable high speed internet access with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and wired ethernet connectivity
