Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our client to support accurate payroll processing, compensation activities, and essential HR operations. This role helps ensure employees are paid correctly, compensation programs run smoothly, and employee data remains consistent across systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, comfort working with incentive based pay, and the ability to manage detailed HR tasks with accuracy. This position also provides hands on support for onboarding, benefits updates, and compliance driven record maintenance.
Compensation:
$60,000 to $70,000 annual salary
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:
• Manage payroll cycles for a multi state employee population, ensuring timely processing, compliance, and accurate handling of regular and incentive based earnings.
• Oversee compensation activities including bonuses, commissions, pay changes, and reconciliation of system generated calculations using Excel and HR data sources.
• Support HR operations such as new hire setup, personnel file updates, employee changes, I 9 completion, and E Verify monitoring.
• Assist with benefit administration including payroll deductions, enrollment support, and employee education regarding available options.
• Prepare audit ready reports, conduct HRIS accuracy reviews, and provide general office support including supply coordination and mail handling.
Qualifications and Skills for the Payroll Analyst:
• Hands on experience using payroll and HRIS platforms such as Paycor, Paychex, or similar systems.
• Strong proficiency in Excel with knowledge of lookups, pivot tables, logical formulas, and data validation tools.
• High attention to detail with ability to manage sensitive payroll data and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills when supporting employees with payroll, benefits, and HR inquiries.
• A related degree is preferred, and at least three years of payroll, compensation, or HR administration experience is required.
