Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a
Contract Campus Recruiter to join our client to help drive early talent hiring and strengthen their presence across key colleges and universities. This role supports the full lifecycle of campus recruiting, from relationship building and event engagement to candidate evaluation and hiring coordination. The recruiter will play an essential part in creating a strong campus brand, generating interest in early career pathways, and ensuring a high quality candidate experience. This is a
hybrid role based in
Columbia, MD,
Marlton, NJ, or
Boca Raton, FL, with on site participation required twice per month and up to 50 percent travel.
Compensation:
$30 to $33 per hour

Key Responsibilities of the Contract Campus Recruiter:
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and student groups while developing tailored sourcing strategies that expand early talent pipelines.
- Represent the company at campus events and manage the full logistics lifecycle, including booth materials, technology setup, engagement activities, and post event follow up.
- Guide candidates through all stages of the recruitment process, from screening and interviewing coordination to delivering offers and maintaining consistent communication.
- Maintain strong data integrity within ATS and CRM systems, produce reports on recruiting performance, and present insights to leaders and internal partners.
- Support employer brand initiatives through social media content, live event coverage, and creative outreach to enhance visibility and student engagement.
Qualifications and Skills for the Contract Campus Recruiter:
- Prior experience in campus recruiting, talent outreach, event support, or university relations is preferred, with comfort representing an employer in public settings.
- Strong communication capabilities with the ability to deliver presentations, maintain digital engagement, and connect effectively with diverse student audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to interpret data and develop clear reporting or slide decks to support hiring efforts.
- Familiarity with ATS or CRM tools such as Workday or Phenom, as well as sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or Handshake.
- Ability to travel up to 50 percent, adapt to shifting business needs, and operate with initiative in both team environments and independent work.
