Job Title: Managing Sales Director Consumer Goods
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Managing Sales Director Consumer Goods to join our client to drive the strategic growth, profitability, and execution of a United States private label beverage business. This executive level role is responsible for setting commercial direction, owning financial outcomes, and ensuring seamless execution from customer pursuit through product launch and service delivery. The position partners closely with operations, supply chain, quality, and finance to balance growth with capacity and margin discipline. This is a direct hire, fully remote role aligned to EST or CST, with candidates required to live within one to two hours of a major airport for frequent travel.
Compensation:
285000 to 325000 per year base salary plus up to 50 percent bonus eligibility
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Managing Sales Director Consumer Goods:
- Set and deliver annual and multi year commercial strategy, including target customers, channels, and categories, while building a prioritized pursuit roadmap aligned to plant capabilities and profitability goals
- Own full private label profit and loss performance, guiding revenue growth, margin delivery, cost to serve discipline, and cross functional execution of operating and long range plans
- Lead and develop the private label commercial organization, overseeing account leadership, RFP and bid activity, negotiations, and long term customer retention
- Govern deal qualification and commercialization, ensuring feasibility, pricing discipline, operational fit, and stage gated execution from award through shelf readiness and post launch stabilization
- Partner with demand planning, operations, quality, and supply chain to manage service performance, complexity, capacity trade offs, and executive level reporting on risks and results
Qualifications and Skills for the Managing Sales Director Consumer Goods:
- Twelve to fifteen or more years of progressive commercial leadership experience within CPG or beverage manufacturing, including private label or contract manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated success leading complex RFP and bid cycles, negotiating large customer agreements, and managing senior level customer relationships
- Strong cross functional leadership capability with experience partnering across supply chain, quality or regulatory, research and development, and finance
- Proven analytical and strategic skill set, including economics, cost to serve evaluation, and operational feasibility decision making in matrixed organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
