Job Title: Collections Representative
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections Representative to join our client to support the recovery of outstanding student account balances while delivering a professional and service oriented experience. This role focuses on outreach, documentation, and follow through to help resolve delinquent accounts and maintain compliance with financial agreements. The Collections Representative will work remotely while remaining local to the Philadelphia area for business needs. This is a contract to hire opportunity offering consistent hours and growth potential.
Compensation:
$17.00 to $17.50 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Thursday with a combination of two day shifts and two evening shifts
Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch
Evening shift: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch
Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Two Saturdays per month selected by the representative: 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM
Key Responsibilities of the Collections Representative:
• Manage outbound communication efforts through phone outreach and written notices to encourage resolution of delinquent student accounts
• Partner with students and co makers to understand payment challenges and guide them toward appropriate repayment solutions
• Explain enrollment agreements and related financial documentation in a clear and professional manner
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of account activity, conversations, and collection outcomes within internal systems
• Ensure co signers are informed of their financial responsibilities when required
Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Representative:
• A bachelors degree in a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience or training is equally valued
• At least three years of experience in collections, customer service, or a comparable financial or administrative role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain professional and business focused
• Comfort working with standardized procedures while applying sound judgment to resolve common account issues
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications
