Job Title: National Sales Manager
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a National Sales Manager to join our client to help drive revenue expansion, strengthen national account partnerships, and support long term growth objectives. This role is responsible for managing high impact national customers through data driven selling, strategic planning, and strong cross functional collaboration. The National Sales Manager will own account performance while building executive level relationships and identifying new growth opportunities. This is a permanent, fully onsite position based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Compensation:
$80,000 to $90,000 per year plus an annual discretionary bonus based on performance
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the National Sales Manager:
• Lead volume, revenue, and distribution growth across assigned national accounts through strategic planning and fact based selling
• Own account financial performance, including forecasting, trade spend management, promotional investment, and overall profitability
• Manage core account functions such as contract negotiations, item launches and maintenance, promotional execution, and assortment optimization
• Analyze sales results, customer data, and channel trends to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, while presenting insights to senior leadership
• Partner cross functionally with internal teams including Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure strong execution and operational alignment
Qualifications and Skills for the National Sales Manager:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, with equivalent experience also considered
• Three to five or more years of experience in CPG sales, national account management, or a comparable commercial role
• Experience supporting Club or Value Channel customers, with strong negotiation and relationship building capabilities
• Advanced analytical and financial skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel up to 20 percent, with bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred but not required
