Job Title: Cash Application Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Cash Application Analyst to join our client to support accurate and timely processing of incoming payments while ensuring strong financial controls. This role focuses on applying premium and non premium receipts, resolving payment exceptions, and maintaining daily reconciliations that impact downstream accounting and customer outcomes. The position is based in Philadelphia, PA and requires onsite presence at least three days per week. This is a temporary opportunity offering hands on exposure within a fast paced financial operations environment.
Compensation:
$24.50 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Onsite at least three days weekly Monday Tuesday Wednesday
Key Responsibilities of the Cash Application Analyst:

• Process and apply premium and non premium payments using established procedures while maintaining accuracy and internal control standards
• Research and resolve payment exceptions through internal systems, bank imaging tools, and daily reconciliation activities
• Partner with Accounting, Billing, and Accounts Receivable teams to support allocation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
• Coordinate with external partners such as banking vendors to investigate and correct payment discrepancies
• Contribute to operational efficiency by meeting service level agreements, supporting peak volume periods, and recommending process improvements

Qualifications and Skills for the Cash Application Analyst:

• A bachelors degree in a related field with up to two years of relevant experience, or two or more years of accounting or cash management experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong Excel skills with working knowledge of Word and Outlook for documentation and communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production driven and time sensitive environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills paired with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Experience in treasury, healthcare, insurance, banking, or systems such as PeopleSoft is preferred along with a stable work history
