Job Title: Billing Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Billing Analyst to join our client to support accurate revenue tracking, timely cash application, and efficient billing operations across a large customer base. This role focuses on ensuring payments are properly researched, applied, and reconciled while contributing to process improvements that strengthen financial controls. The Billing Analyst will collaborate with internal teams and take ownership of special projects that support operational efficiency. This is a fully remote, contract to hire opportunity with a preference for candidates working Eastern Time, though Central Time is also acceptable.
Compensation:
$28.00 to $29.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Key Responsibilities of the Billing Analyst:

• Manage daily billing and accounts receivable activity by researching customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate application across multiple accounts
• Oversee unapplied cash and support monthly close activities by reconciling significant transaction volumes and maintaining account integrity
• Perform detailed general ledger and account reconciliations while preparing clear and reliable reporting for stakeholders
• Lead or support ad hoc projects by coordinating tasks, delegating work when needed, and driving continuous process improvements
• Partner with cross functional teams to update procedures, streamline workflows, and promote consistent billing practices

Qualifications and Skills for the Billing Analyst:

• Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related accounting or finance role
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, perform reconciliations, and create reporting tools
• Hands on experience working with ERP systems and general ledger structures
• Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities with comfort managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
