Job Title: Legal Collections Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Collections Specialist to join our client to drive timely resolution of outstanding receivables and support consistent cash flow. This role plays a visible part in the firm’s financial operations and requires regular interaction with internal teams, clients, and insurance adjusters. The position is a permanent opportunity and is fully remote, supporting operations based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is ideal for someone who is persistent, organized, and comfortable managing follow up driven work.
Compensation:
$60,000 to $70,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours Eastern Time
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Collections Specialist:
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely payment
• Communicate with clients and adjusters regarding unpaid invoices and payment status
• Run and analyze aging and accounts receivable reports to track collection activity
• Coordinate with billing, accounting, and appeals teams to resolve invoice issues
• Process write offs with appropriate approvals and supporting documentation
Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Collections Specialist:
• One to two years of experience in legal billing or collections within a law firm
• Familiarity with legal billing systems, with Aderant experience preferred
• Strong follow up and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Professional communication skills for client and adjuster interactions
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities independently
