Job Title: Licensing Specialist II
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Licensing Specialist II to join our client to support ongoing mortgage licensing compliance and operational readiness across multiple states. This role focuses on managing licensing activities that allow the business to operate, grow, and remain compliant with regulatory expectations. The position partners closely with compliance leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and visibility of licensing status. This is a fully remote, long term contract opportunity.
Compensation:
$25 to $28 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time
Key Responsibilities of the Licensing Specialist II:

• Oversee and maintain company, branch, and individual mortgage licenses by managing applications, renewals, amendments, and ongoing monitoring through NMLS
• Track licensing timelines and requirements to ensure education, bonding, reporting, and renewal obligations are met without disruption
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and regulatory agencies by responding to inquiries and providing clear licensing status updates
• Support business expansion efforts by coordinating new state licensing and compiling required financial and regulatory documentation
• Maintain organized records and reporting tools using SharePoint while delivering accurate compliance summaries to management

Qualifications and Skills for the Licensing Specialist II:

• High school diploma required, with a degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience considered
• Five or more years of experience in the mortgage industry with at least three years focused on licensing and compliance
• Demonstrated hands on experience managing company, branch, and MLO licenses throughout the full licensing lifecycle
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while working in a fast paced, collaborative environment
