Job Title: Sales Assistant

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our client to support day-to-day sales operations by ensuring orders, accounts, and administrative processes are handled accurately and efficiently. This role plays a key part in helping sales and operations teams meet deadlines, maintain strong customer relationships, and keep business moving smoothly. The Sales Assistant will work closely with internal partners to resolve issues, coordinate information, and provide timely follow-up. This is an onsite, temporary-to-hire opportunity based in Jacksonville, FL, offering hands-on exposure in a fast-paced professional office environment.

Compensation:
$19/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Assistant:

  • Process and manage customer orders by verifying pricing, validating order details, addressing backorders or substitutions, and ensuring data accuracy throughout the order lifecycle
  • Maintain and update customer and account records, performing quality checks to ensure information is complete, accurate, and current
  • Serve as a coordination point between sales representatives and internal departments, helping information flow smoothly across teams
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to orders or accounts, researching issues and providing clear, timely follow-up
  • Organize documentation and administrative records while supporting general office and sales-related tasks as needed

Qualifications and Skills for the Sales Assistant:

  • At least two years of experience in a professional office setting, with exposure to administrative or order-processing responsibilities preferred
  • Comfort working in Excel at an intermediate level, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines
  • High attention to detail when handling high volumes of work, with a consistent focus on accuracy and follow-through
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including professional email correspondence and clear documentation
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to research issues, track resolutions, and maintain helpful records
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality during scheduled onsite business hours
