Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our client to support accurate order processing, responsive customer communication, and efficient coordination across internal teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring customers receive timely quotes, seamless order fulfillment, and resolution of billing or return inquiries. The ideal candidate will help protect and grow existing business by delivering dependable service and follow-through. This is a temporary, onsite position based in Houston, TX.

Compensation:
$23.00 – $27.00/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative:

  • Prepare and deliver customer pricing quotes using established pricing tools, ensuring timely follow-up to support order conversion and product adoption
  • Manage order lifecycle activities, including accurate order entry, contract review, and compliance with internal processes and customer requirements
  • Maintain and update customer and pricing data within enterprise systems to ensure information accuracy and reliability
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to promote clear communication and on-time order fulfillment
  • Handle customer returns and billing inquiries by processing documentation and partnering with finance to resolve credit or invoice concerns

Qualifications and Skills for the Customer Service Representative:

  • Prior experience in a customer service or sales support environment, with exposure to fast-paced order processing preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset
  • High level of accuracy and organization, supported by effective time management practices
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to work with formulas, lookups, and data summaries, and comfort working within ERP or CRM platforms
