Job Title: Legal Billing Systems Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Billing Systems Analyst to join our client to support and enhance the reliability and performance of critical legal billing and financial systems. This role partners closely with billing, finance, and technology teams to ensure accurate data flow, streamlined billing operations, and strong system controls. The analyst will play a key role in optimizing Aderant functionality, improving reporting visibility, and resolving system issues that impact revenue and compliance. This is a permanent, onsite position based in Columbus, Ohio.
Compensation:
$100,000 to $120,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Systems Analyst:
• Serve as the primary liaison between billing, finance, and IT to maintain stable and efficient billing system operations
• Oversee timekeeping and billing system configurations, including WIP, expenses, accounts receivable, and data integrity controls
• Troubleshoot system issues and support complete billing workflows from prebill review through final submission
• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards using Aderant reporting tools, SQL, SSRS, or Power BI to support financial insight and reconciliation
• Manage user access, permissions, audit controls, and eBilling processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Billing Systems Analyst:
• Demonstrated experience supporting legal billing systems, with strong hands on knowledge of Aderant preferred
• Solid understanding of billing operations, financial data flows, and integration with general ledger and subledger systems
• Experience building or maintaining reports using tools such as Aderant Report Writer, SQL, SSRS, or Power BI
• Proven ability to analyze data, validate accuracy, and resolve system or workflow issues
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams
