Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our client to support accurate financial operations and provide hands on leadership within the accounting function. This permanent direct hire role is based onsite in Columbus, Ohio and plays a key role in overseeing core accounting processes while guiding a small team. The position focuses on maintaining strong general ledger ownership, cash flow visibility, and day to day operational accuracy. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to financial stability and process improvement within a professional services environment.
Compensation:
$120,000 to $130,000 per year plus annual bonus
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor:

• Direct and maintain ownership of general ledger activities and cash flow tracking to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee and support a team of accounting professionals including staff accounting, payroll, and accounts payable functions
• Guide daily accounting operations while reinforcing controls, accuracy standards, and consistent processes
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support financial close activities, reporting needs, and operational requests
• Utilize accounting and financial systems to streamline workflows and support compliance with internal procedures

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Supervisor:

• Background in accounting or finance with a bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or supervising accounting team members
• Prior exposure to professional services environments with the ability to manage complex financial activity
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Comfort working within financial systems and learning new tools as needed
