Job Title: Collections Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our client to support the resolution of outstanding accounts and strengthen cash flow through consistent follow up and coordination. This role focuses on reducing aged receivables by working closely with internal finance partners and maintaining clear communication with clients. The Collections Specialist plays a key role in improving visibility into account status while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. This is an onsite, contract position based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Compensation:
$25 to $30 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Collections Specialist:

• Support daily collections efforts by reviewing aged accounts and helping prioritize outreach activities
• Conduct professional client communication by phone and email to follow up on past due balances and payment commitments
• Research invoice and payment status across internal finance systems and external client billing portals
• Coordinate with billing, accounting, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and gather missing information
• Maintain detailed records and assist with reporting, backlog cleanup initiatives, and process improvement projects

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Specialist:

• Prior experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related finance support function
• Strong communication skills with the ability to document interactions clearly and accurately
• Comfort navigating multiple systems and researching payment or invoice discrepancies
• Detail oriented mindset with the ability to manage follow ups and meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment
