Job Title: Controller

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Controller to join our client to drive financial accuracy, strengthen reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making across the organization. This direct hire position is based in Moorestown, NJ and operates on a fully onsite schedule during standard business hours. The Controller will play a key leadership role in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely financial insights to guide business performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence financial strategy while maintaining strong internal controls and operational efficiency.

Compensation:
$130,000 – $175,000/year

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes
• Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and enhance financial reporting integrity
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organizational goals and performance tracking
• Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership, helping guide strategic decisions and operational improvements
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and team efficiency

Qualifications and Skills for the Controller:

• CPA certification is required, along with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; advanced degrees such as an MBA are a plus
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal control best practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel capabilities to support reporting and analysis
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
