Job Title: Medical Records Coordinator Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to join our client to support the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of patient health information across electronic medical record systems. This temporary opportunity is based in Moorestown, New Jersey and is primarily remote, with initial onsite training provided during the first one to two weeks. The role plays a critical part in protecting patient safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling smooth clinical and revenue cycle operations. Candidates may also choose to work onsite if preferred. Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Key Responsibilities of the Medical Records Coordinator:
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of patient records and master patient index data through detailed review, reconciliation, and correction activities
• Manage and prioritize chart correction requests and data issues received through ticketing systems, email, and phone while coordinating resolutions with internal teams
• Guide clinical and administrative staff through compliant chart correction processes, verifying outcomes and maintaining documentation standards
• Investigate and resolve patient identity issues including duplicate records, overlays, amendments, and potential identity theft concerns
• Support patient safety and revenue cycle goals by troubleshooting system integration issues and participating in on call support as needed Qualifications and Skills for the Medical Records Coordinator:
• Background in Health Information Management or Information Systems with at least two years of related experience in a clinical environment
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and general computer applications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team oriented approach
• Associate degree in a related field preferred, with RHIA or RHIT credentials considered a plus Why Join Us?
