Job Title: Legal Billing Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join our client to support accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations for legal services. This role plays a key part in ensuring invoices are prepared, submitted, and resolved in alignment with client guidelines and firm standards. The Legal Billing Specialist will collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to address billing questions and resolve discrepancies. This is an onsite, contract to hire opportunity based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Compensation:
$25.00 to $33.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Specialist:
• Prepare, review, and finalize legal invoices while ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal procedures and client requirements
• Manage electronic billing submissions through client portals, monitoring invoice status and addressing rejections or short payments
• Research billing discrepancies and coordinate corrections, appeals, and resubmissions with attorneys and clients
• Respond to billing inquiries and provide clear guidance on billing activity, reports, and invoice details
• Develop and deliver standard and custom billing reports, supporting attorneys and leadership with analysis and summaries
Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Billing Specialist:
• Hands on experience with legal billing systems such as Aderant, Elite, or 3E
• Proficiency using electronic billing platforms including BillBlast, eBillingHub, or similar portals
• Solid understanding of the end to end legal billing cycle and client specific billing guidelines
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Professional communication skills and a service oriented approach when working with attorneys, clients, and staff
