Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client to support day to day financial operations during a period of accounting system enhancement. This role focuses on accurate and timely payables processing across multiple entities within an operationally driven environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will work onsite in Plainview, NY as part of a close working accounting group. This is a contract opportunity designed to provide hands on support while contributing to process stability and continuity.
Compensation:
$28 to $35 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Manage end to end accounts payable activities for multiple business entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal procedures
• Support daily accounting functions during a broader financial systems modernization effort, including system related process adjustments
• Enter, review, and reconcile invoices and payment data within the current accounting platform while preparing for a future system transition
• Partner closely with accounting and operations teams across locations to resolve discrepancies and maintain workflow continuity
• Maintain organized records and adapt efficiently to shifting priorities, volume changes, and evolving processes

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Previous experience in accounts payable or related accounting support roles within a fast paced environment
• Familiarity with accounting software systems, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and processes
• Strong attention to detail combined with dependable follow through and time management skills
• Clear and professional communication skills when working with internal teams and operational partners
• Comfort working onsite as part of a small collaborative accounting team
