Job Title: Visual Merchandising Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Visual Merchandising Analyst to join our client to support data driven merchandising strategies that improve in store performance and customer engagement. This onsite role in Jersey City, NJ focuses on developing effective product layouts, analyzing sales trends, and guiding assortment decisions. The ideal candidate will blend analytical thinking with merchandising expertise to optimize shelf space and elevate retail execution. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long term growth and collaboration across sales and merchandising teams.
Compensation:
$70,000–$80,000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Visual Merchandising Analyst:
• Develop and maintain planograms that optimize product placement, assortment, and shelf visibility to drive sales performance
• Analyze sales data, shopper insights, and market trends to identify opportunities for improved assortment and increased productivity
• Support merchandising strategy by translating research and performance data into actionable recommendations aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with sales partners and retail stakeholders to strengthen execution and maintain effective merchandising standards
• Conduct store visits to evaluate shelf conditions, resets, and in store execution while supporting ongoing process improvements
Qualifications and Skills for the Visual Merchandising Analyst:
• At least three years of experience in merchandising with a strong focus on planograms and assortment planning
• Proficiency in merchandising tools such as Spaceman or JDA Blue Yonder along with solid analytical capabilities
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and build relationships with retail partners
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and bilingual Spanish language skills are a plus
