Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our client to support accurate financial operations and ensure the smooth flow of billing and payment processes. This onsite, direct hire opportunity in Cherry Hill, NJ focuses on maintaining strong financial records, managing receivables and payables, and contributing to day to day accounting functions. The role plays an important part in supporting internal teams and maintaining positive relationships with clients and vendors. Ideal candidates will bring attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a collaborative environment.
Compensation:
$55,000 – $65,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist:

• Manage billing and collections by preparing invoices, monitoring accounts receivable, and following up on outstanding balances to support cash flow
• Oversee vendor payments, including issuing payments, reconciling statements, and addressing discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to support reporting, audits, and compliance requirements
• Provide administrative and clerical accounting support such as data entry, report preparation, and file organization
• Collaborate with internal teams and assist with special projects, audits, and ongoing financial initiatives across departments

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Specialist:

• Prior experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable, with at least three years of relevant exposure preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word, for daily financial tasks and communication
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Effective communication and customer service skills to work with both internal teams and external partners
• A high school diploma is required; additional education in accounting or finance is valued, along with authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
