Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client to support accurate and efficient financial operations with a strong focus on vendor payments and reporting. This hybrid opportunity is based in Pennsylvania and offers a contract to hire pathway with a blend of onsite and remote work. The role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting monthly close activities, and ensuring timely processing of payables. The ideal candidate brings hands on experience with NetSuite and a strong understanding of accounting processes.
Compensation:
$26 to $34 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Manage end to end accounts payable processing, including invoice coding, purchase order matching, and preparation of weekly vendor payments
• Support monthly financial activities by reviewing general ledger accounts, analyzing check registers and wire activity, and preparing accounts payable reporting
• Perform reconciliations of outstanding checks, maintain accurate records, and assist with unclaimed property reporting across multiple states
• Maintain organized financial documentation, including credit card transactions, lease records, and vendor contracts, ensuring proper billing and audit readiness
• Contribute to broader accounting operations by updating cash flow tracking, preparing sales and use tax data, and assisting with deposits and vendor pricing requests

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional accounting education or training considered a plus
• At least five years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions within a professional setting
• Experience using NetSuite is required; familiarity with Intacct or similar accounting systems is beneficial
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and collaborate across teams
