Job Title: Accounting Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our client to support accurate financial oversight and strengthen internal controls within the accounting function. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data by reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies. The ideal candidate will contribute to reporting efforts, collaborate with internal and external partners, and help improve operational processes. This is a temp to perm opportunity based onsite in Ewing, NJ.
Compensation:
$35 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst:

• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations while analyzing financial data to ensure alignment between bank balances and internal ledgers
• Investigate variances, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with third parties to obtain documentation and clear outstanding items
• Manage advance related activity including monitoring balances, preparing wires, and tracking receivables or incentive payments from agencies
• Support reporting needs by compiling data, assisting with servicing advance population reporting, and delivering ad hoc analysis to stakeholders
• Promote process consistency by maintaining procedures, supporting quality control efforts, and assisting with operational tasks such as meeting coordination and mail handling

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Analyst:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience is also considered
• Prior experience handling account reconciliations, financial analysis, or similar accounting responsibilities is valued
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions
• Proficiency with spreadsheet tools and financial systems, along with attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities
