Job Title: National Bankruptcy Paralegal

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a National Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our client to support the efficient management of bankruptcy matters and help drive successful case outcomes across a national portfolio. This direct hire opportunity is fully remote for candidates located in the EST or CST time zones and offers the chance to work closely with legal professionals throughout the lifecycle of complex bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance, managing critical filings, and ensuring timely case progression. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing multiple priorities.

Compensation:
$50,000 - $60,000/year

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the National Bankruptcy Paralegal:

  • Manage bankruptcy case activity from intake through resolution, ensuring accurate documentation and timely progression of all matters.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate the filing of legal documents, motions, claims, notices, and related correspondence in accordance with court requirements.
  • Monitor court dockets, deadlines, hearings, and case developments to ensure prompt follow-up and compliance with procedural obligations.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and case management data, ensuring information remains accurate, current, and audit-ready.
  • Partner with attorneys and legal team members by providing administrative and case support throughout the bankruptcy process.
  • Communicate professionally with courts, trustees, opposing parties, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding case status and required actions.
  • Conduct file reviews and documentation audits to verify compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.

Qualifications and Skills for the National Bankruptcy Paralegal:

  • At least three years of experience supporting bankruptcy matters as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a similar legal support capacity.
  • Background working within a law firm, creditors’ rights practice, mortgage servicing organization, financial services environment, or other setting focused on bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Bankruptcy Court processes and documentation requirements.
  • Experience utilizing CM/ECF for electronic court filings is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and a high-volume caseload.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
