Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Accounting Manager to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This direct hire opportunity is located in Jacksonville, Florida and requires an onsite work arrangement. The Accounting Manager will provide leadership across multiple accounting functions, oversee critical financial processes, and partner with senior leadership to support organizational goals. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in financial oversight, team development, compliance management, and delivering clear business insights to a wide range of stakeholders.
Compensation:
$100,000–$140,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and provide leadership, mentoring, and performance guidance to a multi functional accounting team supporting several financial disciplines.
• Deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain accounting records, and ensure the integrity of accounting systems, data, and reporting processes.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, tax related reporting, audit preparation, and external financial reporting requirements while maintaining compliance with applicable standards.
• Manage retirement plan administration activities, serve as a primary liaison with third party service providers, and support annual audits, testing, and plan governance activities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and operational stakeholders to provide financial analysis, specialized reporting, process improvements, and user access enhancements that support business decision making.

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Demonstrated experience leading accounting teams and managing multiple functional areas within a finance or accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting principles, account reconciliations, and month end or year end close activities.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory compliance requirements, tax reporting, and interactions with external accounting professionals or service providers.
• Working knowledge of accounting systems, financial controls, depreciation accounting, and system data accuracy initiatives.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non financial audiences, while building strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
