Job Title: Credit & Collections Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Credit & Collections Analyst to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. Located in Tampa, FL, this Temporary, Hybrid opportunity offers involvement in managing accounts receivable activities, improving cash flow performance, and supporting financial accuracy across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with sound business judgment to resolve payment challenges, identify process improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. Compensation:
$28.00 - $33.00/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Credit & Collections Analyst:
  • Oversee receivable portfolio activities by engaging customers regarding outstanding balances, addressing payment concerns, and supporting timely account resolution while maintaining positive business relationships.
  • Ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of incoming payments across multiple entities, including research and resolution of discrepancies, unapplied transactions, and account variances.
  • Analyze account trends, payment behavior, aging activity, and cash flow expectations to support forecasting, risk awareness, and informed financial decision making.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to identify recurring causes of payment delays, recommend corrective actions, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen overall operational effectiveness.
  • Utilize technology and AI enabled tools to improve efficiency in collections and payment processing workflows while validating outputs, monitoring performance, and supporting automation opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills for the Credit & Collections Analyst:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience supporting commercial collections, cash application, accounts receivable operations, or related financial functions within a complex business environment.
  • Proficiency with enterprise accounting or financial management systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret financial information, identify trends, evaluate risks, and communicate well supported recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI assisted business tools or automated financial processes, coupled with strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in evolving environments.
