Job Title: Director of Accounting
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Director of Accounting to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Direct Hire opportunity is located in Plano, TX and requires an Onsite work arrangement. The individual in this position will provide leadership across accounting functions, help drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency, and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization. This role is well suited for an experienced accounting professional with strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a passion for guiding teams and improving financial processes.
Compensation:
$150,000 - $180,000
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting:

• Oversee day to day accounting operations while providing leadership and direction to managers and accounting professionals across multiple functional areas.
• Guide financial reporting activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and organizational policies.
• Analyze accounting processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the finance function.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to support business objectives, operational planning, and financial decision making.
• Maintain oversight of financial systems and reporting tools while supporting system optimization efforts and organizational growth initiatives.

• CPA designation required along with a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller level leadership role or a comparable senior accounting position with broad operational responsibility.
• Demonstrated success leading teams with at least five direct reports, including experience managing managers and developing accounting staff.
• Experience working within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, scientific, or related industries.
• Proficiency with enterprise financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with leading expense management and ERP platforms is preferred.
