Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Direct Hire opportunity is Remote for candidates located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, or Washington, DC. The Financial Analyst will help maintain the reliability of a financial management platform used for billing, timekeeping, reporting, and account administration within a professional services environment. This position offers meaningful collaboration with accounting, billing, and business users while providing exposure to system improvements, financial controls, data analysis, and operational process enhancements.
Compensation:
Up to $120,000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:

  • Deliver responsive support for financial system users by researching questions involving time records, billing activity, account configuration, financial reports, and related workflows.
  • Analyze accounting and revenue processes to identify system dependencies, clarify business needs, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen daily operations.
  • Coordinate system updates and enhancement efforts by gathering requirements, evaluating potential impacts, completing functional and regression testing, and assisting business users during UAT.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial information by using basic SQL queries and reconciliation techniques to review billing, matter, timekeeping, and reporting data across connected systems.
  • Maintain user access, security permissions, reference information, process guides, and internal knowledge resources while escalating complex technical concerns with clear supporting documentation.
Qualifications and Skills for the Financial Analyst:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Three to six or more years of experience supporting financial applications, administering accounting systems, or performing financial analysis.
  • Previous exposure to legal billing or accounting technology is strongly preferred, with experience in a law firm or professional services setting considered especially valuable.
  • Working knowledge of billing operations, timekeeping processes, financial reporting, data validation, and basic SQL query development.
  • Ability to investigate system concerns, document business requirements, support testing activities, and communicate technical findings clearly to finance and operational users.
