Compensation:
$65,000 to $105,000/year, based on experience
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Accounting Specialist:
- Oversee core accounting activities, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities while ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines, internal policies, and financial controls.
- Analyze financial performance, assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts, and provide reporting that supports informed business decisions.
- Coordinate cash management and transactional accounting processes, including payables, receivables, and specialized fund management activities.
- Facilitate audit preparation, payroll support functions, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to address financial reporting needs.
- Experience performing accounting and financial reporting functions within a professional services, legal, or similarly structured business environment.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial close procedures.
- Ability to prepare, interpret, and analyze financial data, budgets, forecasts, and operational reports with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency using accounting and financial management systems, along with advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills with the ability to handle confidential financial and employee information responsibly.
