Job Title: HR Benefits Coordinator

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Benefits Coordinator to join our client to support accurate benefits administration and deliver responsive guidance throughout the employee benefits experience. This temporary position is based in Allentown, PA. The HR Benefits Coordinator will manage enrollment activity, retirement and insurance processes, HRIS updates, and employee inquiries while helping maintain reliable records and consistent service. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is detail-oriented, approachable, and comfortable balancing transactional work with employee support.

Compensation:
$30–$33 per hour

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling between 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Availability for occasional later hours and potentially one to two Saturdays during open enrollment is required.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Benefits Coordinator:

  • Administer life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance claims, retirement documentation, health savings account adjustments, and other benefits-related transactions.
  • Coordinate new-hire benefit communications, enrollment instructions, reminders, and HRIS updates while reviewing records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support retirement plan administration by evaluating HR system reports and processing applicable 401(k) and 403(b) elections or changes.
  • Deliver clear, timely guidance to employees regarding benefit programs, plan provisions, enrollment requirements, and applicable policies.
  • Partner with external benefits providers and internal HR contacts to resolve inquiries, exchange required information, and maintain smooth benefit operations.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment, employee absence plan administration, and the development of knowledge resources based on recurring questions and service trends.

Qualifications and Skills for the HR Benefits Coordinator:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least one year of experience supporting employee benefits within an HR environment; two or more years of benefits administration experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work accurately across multiple systems and reports.
  • Previous experience using Lawson or another HRIS platform is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain benefit information clearly and respond to employees with professionalism and care.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through when managing sensitive information and time-sensitive transactions.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred but not required.
