Job Title: Collections Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This onsite temporary opportunity in Bridgewater, NJ offers the chance to work directly with consumers to promote positive payment outcomes while helping maintain strong customer relationships. The position plays an important role in supporting financial account management, resolving delinquency concerns, and contributing to overall operational effectiveness. Successful candidates will bring strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and confidence working within a fast paced, service focused environment.
Compensation:
$25/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed; standard 40 hour onsite work week
Key Responsibilities of the Collections Specialist:

• Manage outbound and inbound communications with customers regarding account status, payment arrangements, and delinquency resolution.
• Support early stage account recovery efforts by identifying payment solutions that encourage positive customer outcomes and account retention.
• Conduct account research and investigative activities to locate updated customer information and facilitate effective follow up.
• Maintain accurate account records, document interactions, and ensure collection activities align with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize business systems and reporting tools to monitor account activity, prioritize workloads, and support daily operational objectives.

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Specialist:

• Previous experience in collections, account recovery, customer account management, or a related financial services environment.
• Background supporting consumer lending products such as credit cards, vehicle financing, unsecured loans, or similar financial accounts.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle a high volume of customer interactions each day.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort learning and navigating financial or collections related software platforms.
• Additional experience with commercial account collections, asset recovery activities, or financial institution operations is preferred; candidates whose experience is primarily limited to medical collections are not preferred.
