Job Title: Reimbursement Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Remote, temp to hire opportunity focuses on helping patients navigate complex pharmacy coverage requirements and gain timely access to prescribed therapies. The position offers hands on involvement with reimbursement processes while collaborating with patients, insurance organizations, pharmacy professionals, and medical offices. Success in this role requires strong pharmacy reimbursement knowledge, careful case management, and the ability to respond quickly as priorities evolve.
Compensation:
$28–$40/hr
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, flexible scheduling between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM EST
Key Responsibilities of the Reimbursement Specialist:

• Coordinate reimbursement cases from initial benefit research through coverage approval activities, ensuring patients receive timely support when accessing prescribed therapies.
• Analyze pharmacy coverage information and insurance requirements to identify eligibility, restrictions, documentation needs, and appropriate resolution paths.
• Facilitate communication among patients, insurance organizations, pharmacy resources, and medical offices to resolve coverage barriers and maintain case progress.
• Support authorization and appeal activities by monitoring outstanding requirements, maintaining accurate case information, and completing necessary follow up.
• Manage changing caseload priorities with urgency and accuracy while assisting with patient intake and other access related activities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills for the Reimbursement Specialist:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant reimbursement, pharmacy access, or insurance experience is required, with approximately 4 years of applicable experience preferred.
• Experience supporting specialty pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical organizations, pharmacy benefit services, patient access programs, or nondispensing pharmacy environments is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy benefit verification, direct insurance research, authorization support, appeals, and reimbursement processes is required.
• Health insurance or payor experience may be considered when relevant pharmacy experience is unavailable; experience limited to authorization work within a medical office does not provide the preferred background for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, along with strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment.
