Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Contract opportunity is based in Tampa, Florida, with a Hybrid work arrangement requiring three days Onsite each week. The accountant will strengthen financial reporting, treasury activities, and integration efforts associated with recently acquired businesses. Success in this position requires sound accounting judgment, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with an accounting team in a changing environment.
Compensation:
$40–$43 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours, with three days Onsite

Key Responsibilities of the General Ledger Accountant:
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and support timely financial reporting in accordance with established accounting standards.
- Analyze account activity and complete reconciliations related to newly acquired business operations.
- Oversee treasury processes, including cash activity, account monitoring, and related financial controls.
- Support the accounting team as it integrates financial information from three to four recent acquisitions.
- Facilitate the transition between accounting platforms while helping streamline processes and preserve data integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and three to five years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger accounting, private equity environments, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience completing acquisition related reconciliations and supporting the financial integration of acquired businesses.
- Strong proficiency with small business accounting software and experience using enterprise financial management platforms.
- Ability to work with artificial intelligence enabled systems, manage treasury activities, and adapt effectively during financial system transitions.
