Job Title: Program Underwriter
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Program Underwriter to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. Located in West Chester, PA, this Direct Hire, Onsite opportunity will play an important role in establishing and managing underwriting activities for a developing hospitality insurance offering. The position provides significant ownership, collaboration with established insurance professionals, and the opportunity to help shape underwriting practices as the business expands. This role is well suited for an experienced hospitality insurance underwriter who is interested in continued professional growth and potential advancement into underwriting leadership.
Compensation:
$90,000 to $180,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Program Underwriter:

• Oversee underwriting activities for hospitality focused accounts, applying sound risk assessment and insurance principles to support profitable business decisions.
• Develop and maintain consistent underwriting practices, guidelines, and workflows that support the successful growth of a developing insurance portfolio.
• Analyze hotel and motel risks, coverage considerations, and account information to determine appropriate underwriting decisions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with operations, finance, and established underwriting professionals to address business needs and support effective program execution.
• Guide the continued development of the underwriting function as business volume increases, with the potential to assume broader leadership and team responsibilities over time.

Qualifications and Skills for the Program Underwriter:

• Required professional underwriting experience supporting hotel or motel insurance program business.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate hospitality related risks and make informed underwriting decisions using sound judgment and industry knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of an underwriting function while collaborating effectively with broader business and insurance teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and decision making skills with the ability to manage changing business priorities.
• Interest and capability to grow into an Underwriting Manager position; candidates who already possess appropriate management level underwriting experience may also be considered.
