The Cost Accountant is responsible for conducting in-depth cost analysis, comparing projected costs to actual expenditures, and generating comprehensive reports that guide budgeting decisions. This role plays a key part in optimizing financial processes by monitoring both fixed and variable costs and assisting with financial close activities. This permanent opportunity offers $80,000-$90,000/year!
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and maintain expense data within internal systems.
Design and refine cost accounting systems and procedures.
Identify and track fixed expenses such as salaries, rent, and insurance.
Monitor and record variable expenses, including material costs, labor, and operational expenditures.
Analyze actual costs against projections, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.
Generate detailed budget reports for various departments and for overall business operations.
Evaluate and report profit margins, contributing to financial planning.
Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Propose cost-saving measures to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage fixed assets and related reporting.
Collaborate with marketing and general accounting teams to provide cost estimates for new products.
Perform additional relevant duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP software (minimum 1 year).

Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile servicer reports within set timeframes and policies.
Serve as the primary contact for assigned servicers, addressing inquiries.

Manage up to 30,000 loans and $200 million in monthly remittances.
