Job Description :








Our client based in the Philadelphia area is seeking a Principle Software Engineer that has experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join the team remotely. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.  


 


The Principal Software Engineer, Front End Lead/AEM (PSE) will provide development guidance, technical leadership and best practices on Front End development and content authoring in AEM. The PSE will be required to demonstrate technical leadership to a team of Front End developers, providing mentoring and formal code reviews to allow the team to grow. The role is a highly collaborative one, interfacing with both internal and client teams.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Understand the capabilities for content authoring and front end styling within an established AEM implementation, understanding conventions and capabilities of an existing component library

  • Lead and mentor a team of Front End Developers

  • Advise on best practices for front end development and formalize documented standards

  • Interface with client technical teams

  • Collaborate on ideas that make creative and innovative use of technology

  • Regularly communicate with both technical and non-technical teams


Skills and Experience



  • 2+ years in a Senior or Lead Developer Role with experience managing other developers

  • Senior-Level HTML / CSS / JavaScript skills with experience in frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation, SASS, and React

  • Familiar with Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, or similar build systems

  • Hands on development experience in a backend platform such as PHP, .NET, Python, Go, Node, Rails, or Java 

  • Experience with content entry and front-end styling in AEM

  • Experience with AEM Forms

  • Experience with other industry leading CMSs such as Drupal, Sharepoint, Wordpress, Sitecore, Umbraco, or Joomla is a plus

  • Familiar with standard Git workflows. e.g. feature branching, merging, conflict resolution

  • Experience performing code reviews and approving Pull Requests/Merge Requests using Git

  • General understanding of Web Servers, Network Infrastructure, TCP/IP, Domain Names, Load Balancers, Routers

  • Experience building and/or integrating web services and APIs with REST or GraphQL

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Passion for delivering high quality products
