Our client, a nationwide Mortgage company is looking to grow their Email Marketing team with the addition of an Email Marketing Specialist. This is a long term CONTRACT oppportunity that will be 100% REMOTE! This is a great opportunity for a tech saavy individual to use their technical and creative skills!



  • The role of the Email Marketing Specialist is to deploy a variety of emails daily including but not limited to: marketing solicitations to portfolio customers, event announcements, internal communications, and ad-hoc requests.

  • He/She will deploy emails using Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Analytics Builder, and Automation Studio)

  • The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all emails go out on time and will have to keep track of deployment instructions, QC approvals, email creative set up, and post-deployment tracking.

  • He/She will also be encouraged to improve the send process as Marketing Cloud rolls out new features.

  • The Email Marketing Specialist is expected to be aware of email best practices and provide feedback and advise the Product Marketing Team on how to increase email performance.

  • Along with the Product Marketing Team, he/she will work closely with the Marketing Operations Team, Marketing Analytics Team, the Public Relations department, and Human Resources.

  • Projects will include SFMC enterprise web, email, mobile, and cross-cloud Salesforce CRM projects for Freedom Mortgage Corporation.

  • The role is part of the swiftly growing and dynamic marketing department. Specific responsibilities include:

  • The ability to prioritize their workload Partners with the team to manage and implement Managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) projects for the enterprise with a specific focus around Salesforce Marketing Cloud including (Email studio), Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, Ad Studio, Mobile Connect and Automation Studio components.

  • Ability to listen and understand client’s requests, write business requirements and develop data model and technical solution.


Technical Requirements:

  • Basic mortgage knowledge preferred but not required

  • Basic knowledge of email best practices and CAN SPAM rules

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred but not required

  • Moderate experience with Excel

  • Moderate experience with file transfer systems such as FileZila

  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge

  • Previous Salesforce Marketing Cloud exact target / email studio experience.

  • Deep understanding of email best practices

  • Deep understanding of Cross-channel customer engagement strategy, design and development (web, mobile, social, physical) 

  • Strong MS PowerPoint/Visio skills and ability to present to technical, business, and marketing audiences

  • Ability to work in matrix environment and to serve as individual and team contributor.

  • Partner with project and account management to provide estimations of work effort and timing, communicate and own scheduling and resourcing projects.



Required Qualifications :

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree from a Four (4) year College or University

  • 3-5 years of relevant technology consulting or industry experience

  • Previous experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud strongly preferred

  • Previous experience with Freedom Mortgage strongly preferred

  • Positive, can-do attitude

  • Inquisitive and energized by learning new things

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics a plus

  • Detail oriented

  • Design and/or writing skills a plus
