Junior Staff Accountant




A knowledgeable job-seeker with experience in accounting is needed for a Direct-Hire Junior Staff Accountant position in Palm Beach Gardens, FL! As the Junior Staff Accountant, you will participate in monthly, quarterly and the year-end financial closing process by completing journal entries, analysis and processes. This position offers an annual salary of up to $55K.


 




Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:


 



  • Perform various general ledger accounting tasks in a multi-entity environment

  • Maintain reconciliations and make necessary adjustments as well as providing management with explanations, prepare monthly bank reconciliations

  • Responsible for reviewing and completing month end close for all properties

  • Assists in audits and ensures property recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits

  • Analyze key balance sheet accounts and review financial statements

  • Prepare and load journal entries, prepare and maintain accruals

  • Prepare sales tax reports and filings

  • Daily/Weekly communication with property management to provide support and periodically assist with banking and collections

  • This position will report directly to the Senior Staff Accountant and CFO



Required Qualifications :
Requirements include:




  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar and minimum two years accounting experience (public and/or private)

  • Accounts Payable Experience

  • Computer Proficiency & Communication Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software, Microsoft Office Suite (or similar), knowledge of Sage (preferred). 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates at all levels of the organization

  • Adaptability Adapts without difficulty to changes in the work environment. Manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully
