Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets - DIRECT-HIRE
Our client is seeking an experienced individual for the Senior Accountant position in Audubon, PA! In this role, you will be responsible for working with the Accounting Manager to ensure the financial close process is completed timely. This direct hire position offers 75-95k annually!
Responsibilities Include:
- Execute on critical areas of the monthly financial close process, including monthly analysis, reporting and communications
- Prepare, review, and post general ledger entries where necessary for above functions
- Analyze and respond to complex accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Preparation of Capital Rollforwards, Working Capital Cash Flow, and Fixed Asset analysis reports for management
- Assess and develop new processes for higher-risk (volume and/or dollar magnitude) areas, such as capital projects or launched products lines for instrumentation
- Identify and develop areas for operational improvement and partner with others in Facilities, Cost Accounting, AP, IT, and operations to implement changes
- Establish and build cooperative working relationships with a cross-functional team
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and perform all tasks with an emphasis on developing automation and efficiency
- Lead and/or participate in the implementation of new systems and technology
- Assist with the successful completion of the quarterly reviews and annual external audits
- Partner with other finance and non-finance areas of the business in research and analysis
- Assists with external auditor requests and SOX compliance
Required Qualifications :
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Fixed Asset experience is a plus
- CPA preferred
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and U.S. GAAP
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel skills (an Excel test will be administered as part of the interview process)
