Learning & Development Specialist (Hybrid)



A diligent job-seeker is needed for the Learning & Development Specialist opportunity with our client in Chicago, IL! As the Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for working closely with the Talent Development Team on the development and administration of programs and initiatives in the areas of Learning and Development, Performance Management and Succession Management. This direct hire opportunity offers $80k-$90k annually!



Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Specialist Include:


  • Maintenance and administration of the Talent Development (TD) Tool Suite 

  • Prepares for platform enhancements, stays up to date with product updates

  • Conducting testing and collaborating with internal partners to ensure they can be implemented successfully and socialize to the broader organization as appropriate

  • Assists in the delivery and execution of training programs and learning paths for skill, competency and career development

  • Contributes to the design, development, and creation of training materials to ensure consistency and quality of content that meets the needs of the training programs

  • Develops assessments, tests, workplace aids, and contributes to designing e-learning solutions

  • Works with HR Technology team to align the tools with talent management’s processes

  • Assists in developing resources for employees surrounding Talent Development Tool Suite and guidance

  • Responsible for all course logistics

  • Maintains, analyzes and reports on data related to performance, talent, and learning initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :
Requirements of the Learning & Development Specialist Include:


  • At least two years’ experience in talent development, learning design, professional training or equivalent education, training, or experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience

  • Experienced user or administrator of at least one leading LMS. Workday Learning experience is a plus

  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
