Our client is looking for an Enterprise Services Portfolio Project Manager.   This person will play a critical role to manage through the demand for functional work/support, implement new processes, tools, and ways of working across the company, portfolio and project management capabilities are a critical success factor. The Enterprise Services (ESS) Change, Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Office (CPMO) consists of a team of portfolio, program, project, and change managers that support the delivery of our annual and strategic priorities.


The project portfolio manager's primary responsibility will be to lead the on-going process of definition, alignment, and prioritization of Enterprise Services portfolio of work.  This will include aligning with an enterprise-wide process; further facilitating the process steps around portfolio alignment needed within the Enterprise Services functions individually and collectively.  This position will entail working closely with the Enterprise Services Leadership and Support Function Leaders to support translating new strategic requirements or capability gaps into the project definition and prioritization phase. The Portfolio Manager will need to understand functional work, project needs, expected quantifiable impact, inter-dependencies and resource needs to execute them and will bring this into overall processes of alignment, prioritization, and capacity review.


Responsibilities:



  • Lead the portfolio management process from project intake through priority decision-making for any of the functions.  Specifically, Legal, Finance, Communications, and/or Human Resources.

  • Communicate the portfolio plan, portfolio value & status to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Partner with local leaders & strategic planning partners/processes to develop project portfolio strategy and ensure the project portfolio aligns to strategic objectives and KPIs.

  • Facilitates decision making meetings that result in project prioritization.

  • Assists with and supports the development and improvement of portfolio processes.

  • Facilitate and drive small to medium size projects in alignment to company standards and best practices, which includes but is not limited to create clarity of scope for ambiguous projects that need definition, align sets of diverse stakeholders to future state vision and facilitate an approach for how to solve strategic and/or complex problems, which includes having the skill to break down elements of complex issues to deliver program plan and roadmap.


 



Required Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum 3 years of direct portfolio management experience, including 3-5 years with demonstrated success with managing complex projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to broadly influence and align stakeholders with diverse needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and work through interdependencies, roadblocks, and opportunities across a complex portfolio of varied programs and projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver expected business results.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, dynamic and ambiguous environment.


Desired Qualifications:


Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), PMP, or equivalent1 project management certifications.


Experience leading global cross-functional teams.
