Sr. Payroll Specialist
Seeking an experienced Sr. Payroll Specialist for our client in Audubon, PA! As the Sr. Payroll Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This temp-to-hire role offers $34-$44/HR!
Responsibilities Include:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates

- Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Required Qualifications :
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Human Resources with 3-5 years of related experience
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
- Initiative and drive to continuously improve processes and systems
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with payroll software
